Veronica Lawrence is a native to New York City, has lived across the country, and enjoys traveling internationally. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Business Management and Leadership from Capella University. Veronica also studied at Kansas State University where she graduated with honors in Academic Advising.
Throughout her career, Veronica has held several different positions all requiring leadership, adaptability, and teamwork. In 2003 she relocated to Lansdowne, VA and worked for IntelliDyne LLC. There she was contracted to work for the United States Department of Defense where she was a technical writer and led an award-winning health management design team.
In 2012, Veronica relocated to Houston, TX and later was employed by Houston ISD where she has had several different roles in teaching and advising students and their families on the importance of college and career readiness. Veronica has worked at Hogg Middle School, Key Middle School, Jones Future Academy HS, North Houston Early College HS, and North Forest HS. Veronica has served thousands of students and families working for Houston ISD. She has changed and transformed lives in every school she has worked.
In 2018, Veronica has joined Project GRAD Houston, to manage and lead a team at the GRADcafé in Baytown, TX. She brings a plethora of knowledge in the areas of academic advising, financial aid (FAFSA/TASFA), college applications, SAT/ACT/TSI prep, essay writing, scholarship applications, career and college exploration and more. Veronica is excited to be serving up college and career with Project GRAD Houston!
