Parent Board of Trustees
Mary Helen Garcia, PBOT President
"Parental involvement is needed at all schools: elementary, middle and high school. Be a volunteer (VIP) at your childs school and attend parent meetings. This will enable you to get to know school personnel and teachers.  Attend parent universities offered by Project GRAD at the high school. These universities offer information that will assist you in the graduation process. Always keep in touch with your child's teacher/counselor to make sure they are at the level they are supposed to be and that they have completed the courses needed for graduation. General words of wisdom as a parent: Have faith and Support your children in whatever they do. You'll be surprised on what they can accomplish when they know you have faith in them.  Please don't give up on your children."
Crystal Jones-Richmond, PBOT Member
"I have learned so many things that have helped me assist my children with receiving a quality education. The Parent Board of Trustees meetings have allowed me to meet parents from other schools and exchange ideas about how we can help make our schools and communities better for our families.  I can't say enough about the Parent University Workshops and the college tours. Each time I attended one I learned something new and innovative that would help my children be successful students and prepare them for college".
Crystal strongly believes that parents are the child's first teacher and they should set positive examples so their children can be assured that they can accomplish every goal they have set for themselves. After years of encouraging her children to aim high and achieve all of their dreams, Crystal decided that it was time to finish one of her dreams. She returned to college last fall and enrolled at the University of Phoenix... "I am so grateful to Project GRAD for providing us with the educational support as well as the $4,000 scholarships that my daughters will be using to further their education in college".
Craig Johnson, PBOT Member
"To whom much is given- Much is required. This is a quote that I live by." Mr. Johnson is a strong advocate for not only his four successful children but all students in our schools and communities.
