Project GRAD Houston Project GRAD

PACE Mission

PACE MissionThe Parent & Community Engagement (PACE) mission is to support each school campus to build a core group of parents/ guardians that support the efforts of creating a college-bound culture.  Our goal is to increase parents' knowledge and understanding of the academic preparation required for their children to access a range of post-secondary options so that every child realizes their greatest potential.  Most discussions with parents are about college awareness and access because of this generation's growing need for education and training beyond high school.  As parents, we are faced with life's challenges, yet desire better for our children.  College isn't the answer for all challenges; however higher education offers greater opportunities (ie. training for new/emerging occupations, degree requirements for higher growth jobs in America, and greater marketability as an adult in the job pool).
