  • www.CollegeBoard.com - Provides all the information you need about the PSAT and SAT, and tools for planning for, finding, and applying to college.
  • www.CollegeforAllTexans.com – get all the facts about finding the right college, planning for college, and applying for colleges and financial aid
  • www.knowhow2go.org - a new website by the National Ad Council and the American Council on Education with practical tips for making our way to college.
  • www.questbridge.org - QuestBridge is a non-profit program that links bright, motivated low-income students with educational and scholarship opportunities at some of the nation's best colleges. QuestBridge is the provider of the National College Match Program and the College Prep Scholarship.
  • www.fastweb.com - This free service from Monster.com allows users to search over 1.3 million scholarships worth more than $3 billion.
  • www.firstinthefamily.org - provides resources, tips, videos and words of inspiration from students who were first in their family to graduate from high school and first to go to college. 
  • www.blackexcel.org – especially dedicated to African-American families, the website includes information about preparing for college, scholarships, historically black colleges (including virtual tours), and summer enrichment programs.  There’s also a free newsletter.
  • www.hsf.net (Hispanic Scholarship Fund) – especially dedicated to Hispanic families, this website provides information about everything that the Hispanic Scholarship Fund offers as the nation's leading Hispanic scholarship organization, providing the Hispanic community more college scholarships and educational outreach support than any other organization in the country.

  • TRIO Talent Search- a free, federally funded program that assists secondary students with college applications, registering for SAT/ACT, applying for financial aid, scholarship search, referrals to enrichment programs and college tours.
  • Upward Bound - Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their precollege performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits.
