Classroom Time: Two 60 minute periods (Part could be done independently as homework)
Purpose: Understand the meanings of operations and use strategies to estimate computations involving fractions
Skills Addressed:
Math skill: Multiplication/division of whole numbers and fractions, measurement conversions
Visual Arts Skill: Connecting the visual arts to other areas of the curriculum
Supplies:
Paper, pencil, internet access, cardstock/paper plate, markers/crayons/colored pencils, tissue paper,
glue stick, scraps of paper, etc.
